Goldfrapp, new album

{Comments 0}

Seventh Tree’ is the third collaboration with Goldfrapp and Big active, after ‘Black Cherry’ and ‘Supernature’. This time, they created a sensual counterpoint to the previous record, taking on a much more pastural and psychedelic sound.

The stylist Cathy Edwards and photographer Serge Leblon create a set of images reflecting this new direction to be utilised across all aspects of the campaign from sleeves to press to multi-media.

The album is designed in three formats including a deluxe CD version featuring postcards, CD/DVD, fold-out poster and hand drawn lyric book - all housed inside a bespoke box made of woven paper.

‘Wanderlust’ have hit the web and people are getting all hot and bothered. The vid looks to be a monster and with a production credit list the size a feature film, the budget was probably off the charts too.

Inopportune: Stage One

I wish I were in NYC.

inopportune1car2.jpg

Cai Guo-Qiang is internationally acclaimed as an artist whose creative transgressions and cultural provocations have literally exploded the accepted parameters of art making in our time.
This is especially true of Inopportune: Stage One, Cai’s largest installation to date, which presents nine real cars in a cinematic progression that simulates a car bombing, occupying the central atrium of the Frank Lloyd Wright rotunda.

First shown in 2004, the exhibition copy installed at Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, 2008, from February 22 until May 28.

edit: I could have read coco’s post, who is talking about the same :)
