The Norwegian photographer, who has shot ads for Yves Saint Laurent and Dolce & Gabbana and fashion features for Harper’s Bazaar and W, has paired with the creative studio-clothing label Surface to Air on a line of silk tops, dresses and oversize satchels, printed with three of his works.

Surface to Air X Solve Sundsbo bag, $200 at surface2airparis.com. Other pieces from the collection available at Barneys New York.“We were looking for images that could create surprising pieces,” said Aldric Speer, Surface to Air’s brand designer. Certainly nothing gives punch to an amorphous sac quite like Mr. Sundsbo’s film still of a scarlet macaw in midflight. source : the New york times

Kate Moss by Corinne Day; limited edition to aid the fashion photographer’s fight against cancer

{Comments 0}

corrine-day-kate-moss-young

Corrine Day’s shots of the young Kate Moss for the cover of THE FACE magazine marked the beginning of an exemplary career – Kate is still one of today’s most recognised faces. However, most people are unaware of Corinne Day’s battle against a brain tumour, one which she has been fighting for over ten years. Friends of the fashion photographer are now desperately trying to raise money for her cause, by selling limited edition Kate Moss prints.

Over the past ten years, all treatment methods have been unsuccessful. Last year Corrine was no longer able to work, and her financial situation is rather dire due to the cost of treatment. Her last resort is treatment at a specialist clinic in Arizona, otherwise she has little chance of surviving the cancer. And of course, the treatment is very pricy, a total of £100,000 has to be raised over the next few weeks.

The charity’s first motif was sold out in just a few days, but now a black and white print of Kate Moss (realised for DUTCH magazine in 2001) is available for £100 each (5 x &, edition: 500).

The only condition: the print is exclusively available for personal use and may not be sold on. The photo is not allowed to be sold through internet auctions or commercial galleries in the next three years, until 31 July 2012.

If you are interested in a print, send an email to
emily@premiermodelmanagement.com. You are welcome to donate more than the official price tag. Additional limited edition prints will be available in September, October, December and at Christmas.

Presented on the spiral ramps of Wright’s museum through a range of mediums—including more than 200 original Frank Lloyd Wright drawings, many of which are on view to the public for the first time, as well as newly commissioned models and digital animations—Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward illuminates Wright’s pioneering concepts of space and reveals the architect’s continuing relevance to contemporary design.

Supermodels strip down for skater

{Comments 0}

doodah-supermodels-skateboard-lara-stone

The DOODAH gang know the stuff of skater boys’ dreams – and we don’t mean a half pipe in the garden. That’s it – practically naked top models resting on their backs and apparently gazing up between the young dude’s legs.

Lara Stone, Toni Garrn, Isabeli Fontana and Edita Vilkeviciute have already surrendered. Erin Wasson is the latest stunner to indulge every skater’s fantasy. The girls may be playing it cool, but their staggering heels are an essential accent to their top bodies.

The board babes were shot by Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer. The decks can be purchased on www.doodah.ch
