The ANDAM Winner Is Hakaan Yildirim

Après Yvan Mispelaere (lauréat 2003, directeur artistique Diane Von Furstenberg), Giles Deacon (lauréat 2009, directeur artistique Ungaro), Christophe Lemaire (lauréat 1995, directeur artistique Hermès), Martin Margiela (lauréat 1989), Viktor & Rolf (lauréats 1994), Jeremy Scott (lauréat 1998 et 2000), la commission ANDAM Fashion Award 2010 est très heureuse d’attribuer son prix au styliste turc Hakaan Yildirim. Diplômé de la Fine Arts University d’Istanbul, il remporte en 1998 le premier prix du « Young Fashion Designers Contest » et crée sa propre marque en janvier dernier. La dotation de 220000 € d l’ANDAM Fashion Award va lui permettre de présenter sa collection pendant la semaine du Prêt-à-Porter parisien en
octobre prochain, mais aussi de créer sa filiale française et d’implanter son atelier à Paris.


Présidé par Carine Roitfeld (Vogue Paris), le jury s’est réunit sous la direction de Nathalie Dufour, et accueillait Alber Elbaz (Lanvin), Jean-Pierre Simon (DAP, Ministère de la Culture), Sarah Lerfel (Colette), Jefferson Hack (Dazed & Confused), Virginie Mouzat (le Figaro), Pamela Golbin (Conservatrice du musée
des Arts Décoratifs), Humberto Leon (Opening Ceremony), Jean-Jacques Picart, Renzo Rosso (Only The Brave), Sophie Delafontaine (Longchamp), Delphine Arnault (LVMH), Valérie Hermann (Gucci Group), Dania I. Tarhini (Saks Fifth Avenue Moyen-Orient), Suzanne Timmins (Hudson’s Bay Company), Cyril Rahon (Les Galeries Lafayette) et les précieux soutiens de Monsieur Pierre Bergé (Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint-Laurent), Laurent Dubois (L’Oréal Professionnel) et notre nouveau partenaire Samsung Electronics France, représenté par Heeil Shin.

For more than 20 years, chaired by Pierre Bergé, directed by Nathalie Dufour and backed by the Ministry of Culture and the DEFI, ANDAM has been identifying and promoting the most promising talents in contemporary fashion, in the process contributing to the vitality and international prestige of the Paris fashion scene. This year the ANDAM FASHION AWARDS have attained a total endowment
of €220,000 thanks to the loyal support of the association’s partners: L’Oréal Professionnel, the Pierre Bergé Yves Saint-Laurent Foundation, LVMH, the Gucci Group, Longchamp, Galeries Lafayette, Saks Fifth Avenue (Middle East), Only The Brave (represented by Renzo Rosso) and Hudson’s Bay Company.
Under the leadership of chairwoman Carine Roitfeld and director Nathalie Dufour, the 2010 judges panel unites Alber Elbaz, Hilary Alexander, Jean-Pierre Simon, Sarah Lerfel, Paul Benyamine, Jefferson Hack, Virginie Mouzat, Pamela Golbin, Gene Krell, Humberto Leon and Jean-Jacques Picart. After studying all of the submissions, this panel of experts has selected the six finalists for the 2010 awards based on their creative accomplishments and potential for development.

The six nominees’ projects will be presented during the National Commission sessions, to be held in late June. After due deliberation, the judges will select the winner(s) by simple majority vote.
